In 1996, we assumed the responsibilities of a home located in Kathmandu Nepal. This home was previously underwritten by another organization. When their support began to wane, some friends contacted us to see if we were interested in taking the home. New Life Children's Home

At the time we didn't even know where Nepal was, but after a few brief communications, we knew we were to take the home.

When we took over there were 12 children in the home. That number has since grown to almost 30 children. The home is located in a rented facility in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Our current focus is relocating closer to the children’s school with more room for the children both outside and inside.  Our present facilities do not include an outside area for the children to play and this need is paramount.

New Life Children's HomeJohn and Elizabeth serve as house parents at our Home in Nepal. John is Newari-Nepalese and Elizabeth is Tibetan. Many of the children we take into the home are Tibetan from poor mountain villages outside of Kathmandu.  Elizabeth helps keep their culture alive by teaching them songs and dances in their native language.
